Top 20 Gift Books for Babies

Baby Book Shelves in ChickPea's Room

Every so often I do an order with Booktopia or Amazon for some of the following titles, which are my all-time favourites as book gifts for babies. I like to have a collection of baby books in my cupboard as sometimes books are out of print and hard to get. And sometimes people have babies when you least expect it…

I try to steer clear of the obvious baby book titles and go for some of the more obscure classics and modern day classics, and I also like to purchase a book for any older siblings from this list here.

For a new baby we normally purchase a hardcover ‘classic’ from the top list, and a couple of board books from this list here. It’s nice to have some keepsake books that are inscribed by the giver and it’s also great for bub to have some of their own board books that cannot be easily destroyed.

I add to this list all the time, depending on what lovely new books are published each year! You can see my list of books for toddlers here.

  1. Great list Megan! Just wondering about those other lovely board books you gave to Em; sharing with Renoir and a picnic with Monet…they were well-loved.

    • So glad they were well loved! I also found a new series of board books yesterday…Cozy Classics. Felted figurines depicting the classics…Pride and Prejudice’ for George Porge.
