Christmas Gifts for Lovers of Literature

It’s that time of year. Yep. It really is. You cannot run and you cannot hide…Christmas is coming. Technically the girls and I will be hiding this Christmas, but after the year we have had I think hiding is okay…we’re not running away from Christmas we’re just creating some new memories. But still there is gifts to be purchased and I love gift giving. I’ve discovered this year that I not at all good at receiving gifts but I do so love choosing gifts for others.

Teacher Gifts

The teachers of my children this year deserve skyscraper high piles of books, gallons of champagne and buckets of diamonds. They have done a beautiful job. They’re getting Ruby Olive goodness, Project Ten wine cooler thingos (with bubbles) and a book – trying to suss that ATM. Normally it would be one of those things…but #thisyearsucked. Ruby Olive and Project Ten designs are VIBRANT and they are just what tired teachers need to kickstart the holidays, along with bubbles and words. Ceramic quote tags (as pictured above) by Kylie Johnson can be purchased here and I’m yet to find a teacher who doesn’t love them, they make the best presents for everyone really. I have a small issue with purchasing these every.single.time. I go to Biome. I pretend I am buying them for gifts but I usually end up keeping them.

Also trying to work out if the PE teacher (who has gone above and beyond) needs an engraved whistle – though PudStar reckons she doesn’t need a whistle because her voice is so loud (in the nicest possible way!). Oh My Giddy Aunt has a gorgeous range of bookish products which I’ve regularly purchased for teacher or friend gifts (just search ‘book’) and if you use the code Childrens Books Daily, the chief Giddy Aunt will send you a sterling silver charm…which I think make rather excellent gifts from the fairies *shhhhhhh*.

Librarian/Literary Lovers Gifts

For the library staff in your lives or family and friends who just plain love literature…Book Geek all the way. I only found Book Geek recently and previously I had to buy many of the items they sell overseas so *yay* for an Australian company distributing book nerd goodness! The products below are all from Book Geek and until the 30th November they have 25% off  everything and FREE SHIPPING with the code CBD. Images below from Book Geek

I’m also still totally and utterly enamoured with these library card artworks from a few years ago…let’s just say I was *overjoyed* when I saw the gorgeous artworks from WingedWorld
