Okay it’s no secret that I am a complete and utter sucker for ANYTHING that is literary themed fashion. I adore anything and everything that combines fabric and literature. Add in ENDPAPERS that are printed on fabric and I’m GONE…
Introducing ‘Fairy Dancers’ endpaper fabric, toadstool fabric and ‘Coco’ (the dachshund) fabric…oh be still my beating heart. Very talented illustrator Cheryl Orsini created the illustrations for the ‘Fairy Dancers’ book, equally talented author and seamstress Natalie Jane Prior organised fabric and made accessories, and Natalie’s sister in law, Linda from LindaLouWithLove, created some stunning dresses and accessories. There will be a few more of these dresses for sale at the Sydney launch of ‘The Fairy Dancers’ (details on my Facebook page) or you can purchase the fabric for yourself here from Spoonflower. LindaLouWithLove has heaps of other gorgeous vintage themed dresses and matching dolls clothes, I do so love local and handmade.
It would be fair to say that ChickPea and PudStar adore their dresses. Pud (7) wore hers to her Christmas concert Friday night (added tinsel for Christmas spirit!) and ChickPea has been admired (which she does rather love), wherever she has been in her Coco dress. ChickPea loves dogs and is somewhat a ‘dog whisperer’, so the dress and matching bag were right up her alley. Also do note those dachshund wall hook…yes I KNOW…and $5 of the money from each sale of these Knobbly wall hooks goes to Dachshund Rescue Australia.
I have a fair bit of literary themed clothing for my children, and some of my own – there really is nothing better than seeing illustrator artwork walking around town as far as I am concerned. I am an out and out children’s lit tragic and proud of it. You?

I also love a dress that my children can climb trees in, and hang out with dogs in…I’m a fan of getting grubby in the garden.Booktopia.
