Narelle Oliver Exhibition

Narelle Oliver Exhibition

I am a huge fan of the work of Narelle Oliver, a multiple award winning  author/illustrator/artist who also makes a great brunch/lunch/dinner partner and tolerates my children. If you do not know much about Narelle, pop  on over to my ‘Book People’ post about her and her work here.

I have purchased several pieces of Narelle’s work over the years, for my home, as gifts and also for my school library. An exhibition of her work is being launched this Sunday at the new The Possums Clinic at  Highgate Hill. Narelle does not exhibit often so if you are in Brisbane I highly recommend you check this exhibition out.

    • Hold that thought Victoria! I’m just uploading another post with details of how to buy her new series of prints, and I’m sure you could also view some of her other prints for sale online or via email.

  1. i went to a session in the Clermont library with Narelle, it must have been mid to late 90’s, I’m sure it was around the the time ‘ Best Beak of Boonaroo Bay’ was published. Narelle demonstrated some beautiful lino cut work that day. I’d love to see this exhibition.

    • Best Beak is still one of my favourite Narelle Oliver titles! She will be chuffed to know you remember the session so fondly. I remember the first time I saw her doing a workshop at a school I was just transfixed by the skill (and patience) it must take to cut into lino with such precision!!!
