Girls Zone Book Club: So Many Choices!

I’ve been reading too much young adult literature of late and my head is up higher than it should be when thinking about novels for my next Girl Zone Book Club meeting, which is TONIGHT. So I took to the source of all knowledge yesterday; Facebook.  Shocked? I’m not surprised. However, my Facebook friends are mostly of the VERY LITERARY literary variety, so I was asking the right crowd. They came up with a list of books so wonderful that I have to share their entire list, even though at my meeting tonight they will only be able to vote on five of these titles, which I’ll shortlist.

If you have young women or men in your life who are 10 – 14 years +, the titles below come highly recommend from the best in the business. For our book club, we tend to choose what I call a ‘crossover’ novel, one which will appeal to the girls and their ‘adult’ who they bring along for the literary ride! Girl Zone Book Club is about connecting generations through books, a shared love of reading, laughter, discussion and some food. We all enjoy it! To see all the books we have read over the years for this book club, click on the ‘Girl Zone Book Club’ subject tag at the top of this post. Best pre teen reads

(for the record, the meeting went well, and the group voted to read ‘Wonder’…you can read my review of ‘Wonder’ here and of the quotes book here).
