Spineless Classics: Literature as Art

Earlier in the year I spoke about our ‘Secret Garden’ Spineless Classic art print, which I made a display around in the library. The students still adore it, and we have ‘The Wizard of Oz’ to display next year. These art prints are just a little bit fab, and would make the perfect Christmas present for any lovers of literature in your life. I’m also thinking that SURELY I could use ‘The Nutcracker’ print on my wall instead of a Christmas tree…we could put presents around the print?

I finally got around to choosing one for our house – we went with ‘The Wind in the Willows’, as this is one my favourite classic tales from my own childhood. A Spineless Classic is a whole book on a single sheet. An art print on which, up close, you can read the full and complete text of a classic work.

Yes, I have a VERY bright red sideboard.

I love the idea of literature as art – combines two of my great loves!

I have a thing for Bromeliads and Tillandsias (airplants) as well as red sideboards…

The text of the posters is pin-sharp, 4 point which is legible to the naked eye (if you have 20/20 vision!). There are currently over 70 classic adult and child texts available from the Australian website. To see the full range visit the website here.
